Problem with clutch cable

I'm installing 12in. z bars on my 07 street bob and i'm using the stock clutch cable but there seems to be a problem i can't figure out. Problem is that i have the adjustment unscrewed all the way out and there is still to much slack and it seems to be binding up.

I took the tranny cover back off and the movement with ball bearing piece inside doesn't seem to be smooth and i can't figure out way. Anybody else ever had this problem? How did you fix it?

Snydcat, welcome to the HDT forum. Did you compare the cables side by side and confirm the ends match up the same?, the only difference should have been the length of the sheath...the exposed ends should be identical in length.

Are you sure all 3 balls are still in the ramps?
