Police Tach

I'm trying to install a 2007 Police Tach on my 2005 Road King. It's not quite going the way I planned. Does anyone have any tips?

The service manual tells me there's a tachometer lead behind the headlight. I can't find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

On my 02 i put a tach on look for a pink wire with a small plug

You may have to go for the #3 terminal on the ECM plug.

police wiring harness's are different from civillian bikes, ihave an 05 rkp, and it has an ecm...............bw

ps...........07 rkp has a 103 engine.........bw
