When I was in the Navy, we used to go to the dispensary and get a bottle of "Oil of Wintergreen" and a hypodermic needle. Drip a few drops on a corroded bolt/nut and it came loose in minutes. Made the job smell pretty good too. I guess they found that it was either A. Corrosive B. Toxic or C. Too expensive to give to a greasy jet mechanic because we stopped being able to get the stuff... or else it was outlawed by the wing, can't remember. I know getting needles became an big issue. We used those to inject super glue into the de-icer boots on the props that would occasionally have a bubble form in them.
