Old Cars We Wish We Still Had

I had this in our shop the last few days.
1963 Chevrolet Corvair Truck.
Passenger side has a ramp.

Isn’t that a sort of COE.vehicle? Cab Over Engine? Or between the front seats.
Something like that.

I believe that is correct. If I remember correctly from one of my old friends that drove one every day, that was it.

Now me, I truly miss my first car every day. A 1976 AMC Pacer. :D.

But, if I had my druthers, I'd gladly take my brothers first car. A 1969 Chevelle convertible. I hated that car back when I was a kid, but looking back, I was lucky to get dropped off at school by big brother in that. :D

Where is the engine, under the bed? Nice
The Corvair engine like the older VW is fixed to the transaxle at the far back.
Air cooled, 6 cylinder, manuel transmission.
So you could call it a pusher .
Service cover is in the bed just in front of the tailgate.
It also has a ramp for the bed on the passenger side right behind the door.

Oh yeah! That's how this one is! I asked my dad about it yesterday, and for a guy that has been a GM man pretty much his entire life, he knew all of that! But I guess 25-30 years (or more) with a towing service paid off. :).

Just saw this thread and thought I'd admit to a few I had and wish I kept. Back in the day I was cruising, racing, and trading like crazy.
'58 Impala Convertible
'62 Impala
'66 Chevelle
'67 GTO
'70 Mach I Mustang
'70 Barracuda
'72 Chevelle
The one I really kick myself over is the one my step dad offered to give me and I turned down. Because it was too old. '40 Ford 5 window coupe. What an idiot.
