i need some help with diagnosis of my problem. I have an 02 deuce with a carb. the only modification are cv retune, pipe and screaming eagle air filter.
after sitting all winter long i started my bike up. after running awhile the dipstick pops off the oil bag and oil pours all over. looking through the shop manual i see i could have a couple of problems. the check ball could be stuck, the breather in the heads could have failed or the bolts in the heads for air cleaner are bad. i blew air(from my mouth) into the oil bag and air came out of the carb area. is this normal???? i some how think the cylinder head breathers are bad but i'm not sure how to prove this.
    any help would be great

How much oil do you have in the tank? Most times this happens when oil is overfilled, check the conidition of the rubber on the dipstick and that it seals good.:x

wouldn't hurt to check the breather bolts in the air cleaner and the corresponding holes in the heads. easy to do.

Oil pump alignment plays a big part in what you experienced. I would realign the pump.
