Oil Dip Stick

hi,

I have a 2004 roadster and to check the oil on this bike is a pain in the neck. First you need a doctorate to get the cap off the bike and then my readings are all on the stick seen wrong. Have I missed something I like to check the oil every 1000 miles and don't want to over fill the oil tank which will cause damage.

I check the oil in my 04 1200R every time before I ride. Just push down on the dip stick and it pops up turn 1/4 turn and it comes right out. You must be doing something wrong,or it is broken. Ride Safe Brother
