Hello, I've ridden motorbikes for over 40 years, but never ridden a Harley-Davidson. When a very good friend of mine told me that he wanted to sell his '04 XL1200R, he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. The bike is really awesome, with only 6,000 miles on it, always garaged, and as we don't get seasons in Los Angeles, never seen a wet road! I can't believe what I have been missing all these years! I found this forum when doing a Google search regarding the oil tank filler cap that did not line up, and found the answers and suggestions very helpful, so that's why I joined. I have just done a 5,000 mile service and have a question about the oil capacity, and will post it in the appropriate section of the forum.
