Welcome from south Texas. I recently taught myself to MIG weld and have gotten fairly proficient. Wish you lived closer; I want to learn to TIG weld next but need some help.
TIG is much like MIG other than the need of a gas to keep oxygen away from the actual burn-in area at the electrode and of course the constant motion needed to keep the cup of the electrode moving along the weld. You would be surprised at the help you can find on Youtube videos, though you may have to watch a few bad videos to find some good ones.
