I had a brillent idea to put some of my cold weather gear in a zip close plastic bag my wife got with a blanket. Keep the water out. I pulled out the stuff in the bag before a run last week and everything was moldy. A guy in my chapter told me that if you rinse the items in a tub of water, with a cap full of bleach, it would kill the mold. Rinse well with tap water after the bleach rinse. I did that and it killed all the mold and did not fade the black fabric. Jacoh
Most people who have been in the military know about a bunch of different uses for bleach. Couple drops in a canteen or bottle and rinse to make sure nothing in it will make you sick....etc.. Trucker
