Lost site refound now new member from Texas

Hello I’m Bjorn from San Antonio, Tx. Love this site over the other Harley sites as the information given by others here is usually spot on and offered without attitude.

I ride a 2010 Dyna Wide Glide as my daily means of transportation. Right now though I’m kind of deadlines until I can retrue my front wheel after coming off a highway flyover ramp and hitting an expansion joint that was 3” proud of the surface I was on at speed. I’m also looking for a replacement hoop for the wheel as I had to press a 3” long bulge back into shape that showed up just before the highway incident and having a rough time locating a parts store that will sell just the hoop.
 
Thank you. Yeah wish me the best as well as new skill going to have to teach myself. There’s a couple greybeards who know how to do it but want a couple bills for it and requests of teach me for same money or as bit more fell on deaf ears. I understand that but almost a lost art.
 
Welcome, maybe pay what they want and let them know how you want to learn and pass on the knowledge of the respected elders.
 
Welcome aboard from Gulf Coast AL. You may want to check ebay or craigs list to see if you can find a cheap wheel, but buyer beware!

Joel I’ve offered what they were asking with the caveat that it would be them teaching me how to do it. That’s part of which what they do so it kind of cuts into their gravy train so I kind of get why they didn’t want to do that. No problem though. I’m not incapable of figuring out how to do it. I’m sure if I were to hang around them more I may have gotten. Different answer but either way not complaining.

Been looking. B Twin Mfg and Drag Specialties appear to have what I need. Yet to see 21” wheels offered in Craigslist or OfferUp. But I agree caveat emptor that way. Won’t mind a correctable wobble.
