Looking for straight goods on synthetic oil

Hello all you sporty owners. I am new to the forum, could not see a thread on this issue. Own an 04' 883, currently on non synthetic, whats the views on switching and if it is recommended what brand and weights are recommended for the Northwest Climate?

You can switch to synthetic at any time. The CVO bikes come with factory fill synthetics.
I like Mobil 1 V Twin 20/50 as an engine oil.
