I was given a Linbar engine guard from a 2002 Softail Standard. I mounted it on my 2005 Heritage and when you compare the distance from the front of each floorboard, the brake side is closer to the floorboard than the shifter side by about 1|2". You can stick your finger in on the shifter side and it is almost touching on the brake side. Just like this is the bar here. http://http://www.lindbycustom.com/cart/product.php?productid=16301&cat=258&page=1
I appears that the top mounting bracket needs tweeked. My questions are can I or should I just shim it the way it needs to go or should I take it off and heat it up and tweek it?
