Lift table and removing both wheels

I am going to be removing both wheels for a chrome wheel exchange and intend to leave the bike on my lift table. The front forks will be exchanged too. Since I only have one scissors table jack, what is the best way to lift the bike so it stays balanced when I take the wheels off? Should I use some 4 X 4s under the frame and, if so, how many? Thanks for the help.

Might it not be better to go to a place like Harbor Freight and purchase a inexpensive motor cycle jack that you can strap bike to jack. I would hate to see you pride and joy end up on the floor by trying to make something work that is not specifically designed to do the job you need.....:newsmile042:

You can use the single jack on the lift table, but get 4 ratchet straps and strap the frame of the bike to the table. This will secure it nicely.
