Kuryakyn LED fule gauge

Does anyone know why the Kurakyn LED fuel/battery flush mount gauge set states it will fit all Harley Davidson except 2008 Softail bikes? I like the looks of their set but don't want to try installing it on my FXSTC if it will not work properly. I have seen some posts that show the HD flush mount set does not last very long (LEDs burning out?) so I am not going to spend my $ on it. Does anyone know of any other company that might sell a flush mount kit? Thanks for any input. And remember, Ride Safe...
