Dug this out of my HD library. It is a page out of a 1941 HD Accessory Catalog. Here is the page on Kidney belts at the time. The deluxe model was $4.75 Due to inflation, today the same Kidney Belt would cost $68.78 according to my inflation calculator.
MY DAD wore one before he re-padded his DUAL seat on his HD 1952 pan hydra glide....
when he got the HOG HIDE back with the huge thick PAD and a new POST SPRING installed, WE never needed the KIDNEY belt again......
could of used a seat-belt on the bumps..........
I think he sold it along with the original leather saddle bags and got (back then) way more than inflation (all original HD)...
