Ironhead performance figures

Last time I owned a Harley was waaaay back in time, now I have another one and was wondering what sorta performance and consumption I should expect (just so I know its running properly....honest Officer :s)

Mine is a 1980 XLS1000 with standard everything that I can see on the outside (42mm Keihin Carby)....but an S&S style air filter.

What MPG should it return and what are top speed and cruise?

I found the answer and it turns out a late Ironhead is slightly fatser than an early Evo but bearing in mind the age of the beasts and our 62mph speed limit it should still be fast enough to get me into trouble
