Hi, I am trying to fit the cam gearing in my 75 ironhead 1000,
When I try and fit the front exhaust cam gear I cannot line up the marks as the cam need to push the cam rod up and I cannot compress it by hand. The other 3 fit fine, What do I do? do I need to take the head off and release some pressure off the spring?. I am stuck I was hoping not to have to take any more of the engine apart but I just cannot get the four marks line up.
