Installin a Starter on a 04 Roadie

    Well heres a question...my wife (Bless her heart)....bought me a chrome starter for my Chrome and Black Roadie....How hard is it to install...am a bit of a shade tree mechanic. Like meesin with stuff..am kinda old school so not sure if i should tackle it. I bet her I had all the chrome i could possible have ...well she sure fooled me...lol....Thanks in advance :smell

    You have to remove the primary cover to get at the jack shaft to remove it. I would replace the seal on the shaft while it is apart too.

    From there, it's pretty straight forward as far as unbolting the old starter and replacing it with the new one. Be sure to disconnect the battery cables before starting the job.
