Here's a great tool for those frozen fasteners like the drains in the front fork legs.
I have one of these for many years and they work great to remove the drain screws that would otherwise get mangled up with a phillips screwdriver trying to remove.
They cost about $33 at Sears but well worth the cost when you encounter a frozen drain screw and would end up chewing the head up trying to remove it.
You can also use a 1/2' drive socket on the tool or a 3/8" socket using an adapter for those frozen bolts too.
They work by twisting the tool left to remove the fastener and hitting it with a hammer. Start off easy and if it doesn't loosen the fastener, give it a bit harder tap. It's works like an impact hammer.
If you have a stubborn drain screw, a pair of vice grips on the head will remove it being you will be replacing them anyway. They usually come right out then.
