How to diagnose a twin tech system

This motorcycle is a Bourget chassis with a 2003 twin cam in it. I have found that the fuel injection system in it is out of a 06 road king with a twin tech Ecm. I don’t think an older mechanic is necessary I just need to find someone who knows what computer or scanner will connect to the Ecm for diagnostics. I don’t want to just start replacing sensors or the Ecm. That is not the way to fix anything as we all know. The electronics on this has been stripped down to the bare minimum to make the engine work just like what is being bone for hot rods. But they can at least scan them when a problem comes up. Twin tech just wants you to buy a new system! I will keep searching for answers and testing sensors and I will eventually figure it out. After all there is not much left to check.

Good luck but computer and scanner would help with a Harley and wiring diagram. Pretty sure you don't have a wiring diagram for that bike so you are flying blind. You need to find someone that understand electronics that can troubleshoot the wiring point to point which is going to be very difficult without a wring diagram but I do wish you well.

Thank you. I do have a wiring diagram and have tried a few different scanners and computers to try and pull codes from this twin tech Ecm and nothing I have tried will connect with it. I even checked to see if the diagnostic plug is connected and it is. It just won’t connect. I will figure this out , it won’t beet me.

Does your wire diagram show the diagnostic connector?
If so I would start with checking it for proper powers and ground. If it is missing power and or ground it could be the reason for no communication to the scanners you have tried.
Also recheck / clean ground wires from harness to frame.
