Help! Won't start

Aloha,

I have an '06 Stock Sportster which I recently purchased.

This morning I rode to the gym and when I tried to start it later, it would not start! When I inserted the key, the signal lights alternated flashing. Lights work but the starter would not turn over...no sound at all.

I have a FOB but I'm sure that the bike does not have an alarm system, the FOB just makes the lights flash once (no chirp). I did try "arming" and "disarming" the system though.

I'm guessing the battery is OK because it started fine this morning and I've not had any other troubles with it.

Any suggestions?

If you have a fob, there's a security system on the bike, just not the siren option.

Do you have the manual security code for the bike?

Try putting a new battery in the FOB before you go any further.

You can use this to retrieve the PIN code for your bike.

FOB battery was OK, but followed the tips on changing the PIN and it worked. Thanks again for the help.
