Hello

Wombat brings up memories. I am an old fart now but back in my youth, I took up off road motorcycle racing, enduros and hare scrambles. There were a couple of organizations that sponsored and put on these races all over south and central Texas. My first bike was a 125cc Combat Wombat which I had made a few modifications to and I won several races, mostly scrambles on that bike. I later "graduated" to a 250cc CanAm and a 360cc Husqvarna and competed on both classes depending on whether the race was an enduro or a scamble and the terrain. Great fun for a few years until my job expanded and I had to start traveling. :(
friend of mine had a Bultaco, all MX. Strange thing was it's shifter and brake were turned around.

I don't think I ever saw a Rickman at any event I competed in but do remember them. The 100s had Japanese Hodaka engines, the 125s had German Zundapp engines, while the 250s ran the Spanish Montesa engines. All gone by '75.
