Heel Shifter

How many use and like the heel shifter? I see in alot of places that people usually hate them or love them...
I am now using it....did not take me long to get used to it and I REALLY like it....it shifts so much smoother and easier for me......

I like em,had to take off some and lower them,sometimes they are too high from the factory

I use mine on my ‘81&’18 models. My ‘73 only has the toe shifter. I miss the heel when riding the ‘73

First thing I took off my Electra Glide. I prefer the added footboard room, I've been toe shifting since 1958, using my heel would be unnatural for me.

I put a swing away heel shifter on mine. Gives you back the footboard room and you can move it into position if you feel like heel shifting.

I have taken the heal shifter of of my, no longer owned by me bikes, for the extra foot position on long rides.
But on my current ( for ever ? ) bike I have left it on, seems that it is not as constricting as the other bikes were. Maybe it is longer.
Only use it once in a while.

I switch between two different setups on two different bikes, and I have to admit that I really like the heel shifter.

Took me a little while to get used to it.
Now it’s just “natural” to use. I really like it. I find I can caress the downshifts and be smoother.
Only issue I have is swapping between my bikes. Different ‘everythings’- controls, seating positions,’bars,hand controls etc etc etc——
