Lesson learned the hard way, don't look for cheap aftermarket O2 sensors

I tried one from Dennis Kirk, it failed next I got a Fueling O2 sensor, the male plug was wrong

I stopped in to see my service manager @ the dealer, he laughed but hooked me up with the right one, Now Stella is running like a scalded dog again

The HD O2 sensor was also cheaper for me @ the dealer, I get a Hog discount;)

Great news , sometimes a customer wants to bring parts they get from rockauto, I've checked the price they paid plus shipping and they could have just let me supply the part and it would be the right part at the same price.
Now I just tell them no on customer supplied parts.

You would think an aftermarket sensor made by Bosch would work OK, but they do not play nice with Harley M8 can bus systems

We find using the brand the manufacturer uses at the factory is best, there are often many options for the replacement part but that substitute may have enough of a resistance difference the response time and life of part is affected leading to poor performance and early failures.

Very good point, I laughed @ some of the aftermarket O2 sensors claiming the front and rear are the same, They are not, 2 separate part numbers and over all length is not the same

Buyers beware
