Harley dealerships closing across the US

But they won't. Older riders are aging out of the sport. Other bikes, while not American, are more affordable. The hooligans are still riding sport bikes. And I will admit, I have picked up a Ben Bostrom Replica Ducati and a Nicky Hayden RC51 in the past year. All while my Harley count stays the same. Yeah, I still have a hooligan thing going on. I don't go to the dealer for service. If I can't handle it, I have an independent I go to. I'm starting to move towards other riding because of the limited season here in Colorado. I'm doing more 4 wheeling/off road (SXS, Bronco, adventure bike, snowmobile) then on payment motorcycle riding. So the bikes are becoming more of a static collection then a riding collection. They still get there due, but that due is carefully planned.

It's hard to support a large dealership building and all that goes with it when you are bleeding money because of corporate requirements.
