hardtail chopper

ok folks. midlife crisis time considering swopping the fatty for a hardtail chopper. i have never ridden a hardtail i know it will not be as smooth as a softtail but can anybody tell me how bad? will my kidneys explode after 50miles? your thoughts please

Hardtails are for looks mostly and a poor choice to ride any distance. If you don't have any back problems now, you will have after you get one.

I had a hard tail for one year, it was cool, but harsh. Fast off the line, loud and vulgar in appearance. If I were going to do another, I’d get the 5lbs. memory foam in the seat, that way you can “cheat” butt death a tad and still maintain traditional hard tail lines. :cheers
