H-D Hardbags for Deuce

I am looking to buy a pair of the Harley Davidson Hardbags for my 2001 Deuce. Has anyone had these before and what is your opinion of them and would it be possible to make these into detachable bags?

As for another option is it possible to put different struts, I would even change to a bobtail rear fender without a problem, on the deuce to facilitate ($20 word) detachable bags.

I had a pair of the "Leather Lyke" bags on my wide glide and really liked them. They come off in a couple of seconds and only leave two unnoticeable mounts left. I am not sure about the Deuce but its worth a look...
 
Hey TW, I hope your search goes better than mine. I have decided that a sissy bar/luggage rack type system for mine. I just couldn't justify spending that cash for the mounting system required for our 'oh so practical, but so cool' rides. I have 2 picked out, I would just like to see on first. Having a hard time there. You don't see many part time bags at bike nights. :D
 
Like Joy, I went with a sissy bar/luggage rack type system for mine.
Works well and I have yet to see a Deuce look good with bags. IMHO.
