Greasing Steering Neck Bearings

When you do your first service and grease the neck bearings, you'll get some grease dripping on the front fork on the left side slider when it's parked in the heat for a while. You also you may get some blowing back on the motor. Use some Q tips to remove the excess around the bearings to minimize the drip. It does stop dripping after a few rides.
Use the HD recommended grease to minimize the dripping also as it's a bit thicker. It also takes quite a bit to fill the neck up before it reaches the bearings so be patient.

The wide glides cannot be greased without disassembly because the frame member is not sealed at the steering neck and this would fill the frame with grease. That's why they don't come with a zerk fitting like other bikes.
