I have just acquired a 1989 softail custom. I do not like having to hold the turn signal switches through turns. Can I replace the switches with the newer ones? I dont mind having turn turn them back off just as long as I dont have to hold them down.

Retrofitting would be a pain. Badlands makes a module that will keep the signals flashing for X amount of time. Easy install. Look it up on Dennis Kirk, J&P Cycles or Drag Specialties.
