Going to Change Battery In 2014 Heritage

Hope you haven’t done it yet.
You must put the bike into “service mode”before you disconnect the battery.
Otherwise there will be lots of noise.
With mine, the fob must be present to disable the alarm. Then turn the ignition switch on and pull the Maxi fuse. See attached photo:
it’s also a good idea to turn the ignition switch off after you pull the fuse.
So when you finally reinsert the fuse you’re not inserting it with any electrical load. ( no sparks or crackles)
Although,I think yours has a CANBUS electrical system ; so it may be different to my ‘08 Softail.Check your “owners handbook”- it will give you the correct procedure)
