Just FYI: there is a vent hose that runs from the tank down and stops just under the battery/left passenger foot peg area. I have noticed on days that I ride when it is hot the tank will get warm. One day I was cleaning the bike with it sitting outside, I could smell fuel like I do quite often. I was down on the left side of the bike and noticed vapors coming out of that hose. It has been exceptionally hot here this summer so I still park the bike at the end of the ride and smell fuel for a while. Was the same way with my Dyna.
