I just installed a Garmin 665 on my 2011 RG Ultra all items work just fine except for one thing. When the GPS talks to me over the speaker system or headset, the voice is very soft and there is some hissing. The result is that I cannot hear anything but hissing at anything over 25 miles per hour. I have check all volume controls and things appear correct.

Before I take the fairing back off, has anyone had this issue and what did they find?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
 
Make sure the connections to the wiring harness are seated good. I had a similar situation where the gps would kill the stereo sound, but I couldn't hear the voice. I pushed the deutch connections in tighter, and it fixed the problem.
 
Thanks, I pulled the outer fairing and reseated all connections. In addition, I added deelectric grease to all connections. The problem seems to be resolved.
