FXD 2002 vs Softail on the road

Hi, I am riding original FXD 2002 and my friend has a softail (2000 also quite original as far as I know). He tried my bike and said it is more "loose" and viggling in start also in road speeds it tries to go straight and his bike turns more easily. Is that normal behavior between those models?

My bike is the only one I have ever driven.

There are noticable riding differences between those two bikes mainly because of the suspension differences. Nothing to worry about.
