Fuel Issue

Hey everyone, I have a issue with popping out my breather on my 2001 1200 custom, when my fuel level is at a quarter tank the bike constantly pops....so I stopped at the gas station filled her up and the popping went away, when I got back down to half tank it started to pop once in a while. Is there a screen in the petcock that may be plugged??

If this is a carbed bike YES there is a screen mesh in the petcock that needs to be cleaned. You may also want to check or replace your gas cap, if it is not venting properly your gas flow may be disturbed.
