Fuel Gauge

Does anyone know why the fuel gauge on my electra glide keeps fogging up? I have only had this bike about a month but cant stand the fact that it fogs over. It is a factory Harley Fuel Gauge. Thanks for the help

They all seem to do that mostly after a rain or if you wash it.

H.D. gauges/instruments are not sealed and will fog up at will. Sitting in the sun will usually clear it. Just don't look close and notice the water spots on inside of the lens. That's all you will notice ever after.

If it really bothers you (as it did me) remove the outer fairing and drill a 1/16 in. hole in the base of the plastic part of the gauge. That allows it to breath. Differing temps. cause the condensation.
