Front Wheel, How Big Can I Go?

I try not to question what style others want. I seem to remember reading that the trail on a motorcycle needs to be between 3.5" and 5". So if going up in size on the rim and the tire doesn't get you out of the correct range than you should be good to go. I have always wondered about the smaller sidewall and what type of ride quality they have, but since I have never ridden a bike that has been converted I can't say.

The 21 will fit on the touring bikes without any mods being necessary. It does raise the front of the bike an inch or so, but in the four years that its been on I have not experienced any ill effects at all. If anything the steering is lighter and the bike still trails perfectly. :s:s
