Front brake rattle

Getting a Clank/ rattle when hitting certain bumps.

From the front brake pads or caliper itself.

Wondering if anybody has dealt with this, if you've had this issue and dealt with it let me know what you did to fix it.



Some have said that they put some sort of stickum on the back side of the

pads to keep them from moving/rattling .... ?

If all of your hardware is OK and lubed you may try something on the backing plates of the brake pads

See attachment, this is for a 2008 FXSTC, #6 anti-rattle spring. May be worn or missing.

Check to see if your anti-rattle clips are still there. Grease on the back of the pads is usually used to prevent squeal!
