I'm in the middle of changing front fork seals, o-rings, bushings Etc.
While I was cleaning out the tubes I noticed the top slider at the very bottom of it there was a spring( not the one shown in the picture I have that one out already) it seems to be part of the slider itself??
It's not showing anything on any of the parts list. Of what it might be.
There is a spring that goes on the damper itself but I have that out.,,, attached is a photo and in the bottom right hand corner I circled the bottom portion of the slider, inside of that is where the spring is and it appears to be built right into the slider itself.
The spring can't come out from the bottom because it's a smaller hole there and it can't come out from the top because there's a little lip there, so it looks like it's built right into the slider tube itself which seems strange to me.
if anyone has an idea what this might be you could win a big trivia contest somewhere because nobody seems to have heard of it.
to repeat, all of the seals and various parts that are listed are out I have them, this part that I'm talking about is not listed and it's on the inside of the tube, I can't think of what the reason is or what it would be doing.
