Harley Apprenticeships in UK
Harley-Davidson invests in industry training programme
People of all ages are being invited to apply for a new motorcycle technical apprenticeship programme to qualify as the best technicians in the industry. Harley-Davidson and Buell UK has formed a partnership with North East Worcestershire College – the home of Harley-Davidson University in the UK – to offer the opportunity.
The programme aims to train people to the highest standard in preparing, servicing and correctly maintaining Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. It also teaches future Harley-Davidson Technicians how to fit the company’s extensive range of accessories, which enable customers to personalise their motorcycles.
The Harley-Davidson & Buell Modern Apprenticeship Programme is a two-year block day release course open to people of all ages. Graduates will qualify as Harley-Davidson Technicians and receive a Level 2 Technical Certificate endorsed by The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), which is recognised throughout the industry.
The training will include usage of the latest hi-tech diagnostic tools and work on innovative models including the pioneering liquid-cooled Buell® 1125R and the exciting Harley-Davidson® XR1200.
As part of the legendary Motor Company’s investment in training, the course and qualification fees are covered in addition to the trainees’ expenses. Programme graduates are also guaranteed full-time employment within the Harley-Davidson and Buell UK dealer network, which is growing annually.
“We’re really proud of the programme that we’ve put together with North East Worcestershire College,” said Harley-Davidson UK Aftersales Manager Rob Whisson. “At Harley-Davidson UK we like to be at the forefront of creating and implementing new ideas. We’re confident that the programme will be a huge success and ultimately we can continue to reassure our customers that their pride and joy is in the most capable hands at Harley-Davidson and Buell UK dealerships.”
Interested applicants should send a covering letter and CV to the local Harley-Davidson and Buell dealership. Details of all dealers can be found at Harley-Davidson UK
