FLTC Transmission Slips

Sorry,
This an Evolution first year and with the 5 speed trans.
However on the clutch info page of the factory manual pg.40
they show an early 84 and a late 84 the late 84 clutch assembly
is like the one I have.
I am in consumer electronics and I know how hard it is to visualize
some of the questions.

Very helpful. My '91 is a further modification replacing the diaphram spring (#17) and clutch adjustment plate (#19) and screws with a plate, diaphram spring, ring, and snap ring. I have never personally worked on your model, so I do not know what the book says about unloading the spring in order to dissassemble the clutch basket. It may say that you just alternate loosening the bolts in a star pattern or around in a circle until the spring is unloaded. Check the book though.
