Here's a video for those who were considering doing this to the windshield.
Always cut slowly to avoid excess heat buildup.Don't force the blade. It will immediately heat up and start melting the plastic.
Try to stay within 1/16" oversize to allow for finish shaping/sanding with a block which allows sufficient clean up of the edge for a professional looking finish.
