Cold Knees

Bass Pro Shops usually have flannel lined and fleece lined jeans on sale (their brand) for about $25 in the fall. I haven't checked this year, but I usually get them for work, (yes, I don't like thermals), but for the $$ they work well. They aren't carhartts, but they are pretty decent. They are good for riding too. They allow me to ride to work a bit earlier in the year, and a little bit later than I normally would. I do wear chaps too though.

I have a pretty decent coat (at least until I get some leather) and was at Gander Mtn. tonight looking for some rain pants/gear. Saw some Carrhat bib overals that could do dbl duty as winter pants & rain pants if I used some water proof spray. Anybody do this? Wondering how good the spray water proofing is. Thanks, Tracy

I've used it Tracy but link I mentioned above, not for riding and it worked well for the water proofing.
