Cleaning wheels

My Dyna had cast wheels that seemed to be untreated, and the back wheel in particular got really gunky from belt dust, etc. I went to the HD dealer and asked what to use to clean them, but the stuff they recommended really didn't work. I have clean new wheels on my Electra Glide. I think they are treated, and I want to keep them clean. I read elsewhere on this forum that something called Barkeepers Friend works well to keep wheels clean. Have you tried it? Does it work? Is there something else you recommend? Sorry if this repeats earlier posts, but I'm new to this site.

Bar Keepers works great, rinse with lots of clean water and forget about it:s

Barkeeper's does work great, as Jack said rinse, rinse. Otherwise a dull film will be left behind.
I will suggest one more step, I use Dupont Granite and Marble sealer sprayed on a dry microfiber cloth, wipe it on, let it dry and wipe it off. It will make cleaning a lot easier next time. The sealer is mostly Teflon, between treatments I just wipe the wheel down and it's back shiny.
