Like to replace my ambient temp gauge with a cht gauge,
Anybody done this before?
I'm a little slow, but what is cht?
Bing search says Cylinder Head Temperature?
OH..? ..i was wondering to . but i did not want to appear DUMM......DUMB...:s
(I think a lot of people were wondering the same thing):s
OH,, the ol' cht from Marlinsclocks.com. Yea, thats it.:sd
I almost asked, but decided to wait it out.
I'm sure glad I am not the only "dense" one here.
Forgive me about not explaining what a cht was.
I happen to be a retired pilot and a cht is a very important gauge in the engine compartment (Cylinder head temperature gauge).
Been riding my 05 ultraclassic for 5 years now,AND when confronted by heavy traffic my thighs get fried.
Solved my biggest problem by installing a turbo fan .
Moved the horn and used the same spot to mount my fan.
I have not used a cylinder head temp gauge but saw one mounted on an ultra. Was the same size as the other gauges but the face did not really match up. Guy was from TX or OK said it worked well for him
I have to confess also, I wondered how you were going to fit a gauge that monitored how many people were chatting on th HD Talking website.
As a retired pilot myself I can see in an aircraft the need for monitoring the cylinder head temperature since you had the means to control the mixture, but on a scoot I would be more inclined for monitoring the engine oil temp since that has more importance and is something that you can control in a sense.
