Changing Air Cleaner and Pipes without ECM upgrade

I am getting conflicting information about the need to upgrade the ECM if I put an Arlen Ness Big Sucker and Rolling Thunder slip-ons. Some Tech articles state that the 2009 ECM can handle these changes. Additionally, my local dealer said that they don't do ECM "flashes" anymore, and that I would have to purchase a Race Tuner to upgrade my ECM. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

It will handle it BUT it will be very lean and hot, not a good combination.

I like the TFI myself for ease of installation and setup, no dyno and can be removed without a trace. No need for the expensive tuners unless you want every last ounce of power that the engine can make for racing.

Glider, will the TFI increase the rev limiter like the dealer download will?

No but the TC engine will live much longer it it stays away from the rev limiter. In stock internal form the engine isn't producing any power at or near the limiter so why do it?
