do you know what size jets came stock? a friend of mine has an 82'
that seems to be loading up and back firing. the previous owner put
straight drag pipes on it and i thought maybe back pressure may be
helping add to the problem. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Jim,
What have you and your friend checked out on the scoot? And I might be thinking backwards here,but would'nt it be a lack of back pressure with the pipes? Someone here will correct me if so!
