Cant get my stator out

I am trying to track down an oil leak behind my stator but I cant get the stupid thing off. I have removed all 4 of the torx bolts and it will turn left and right but will not come off. Any suggestions?? It is coming off a 1996 80" evo
 
Are there threaded holes in that model? If there are you can screw threaded rod into them and jack the stator off.

It looks like an oil leak around the stator I was trying to track down is coming from the crankcase sprocket shaft seal. Are these a diy repair or should I take it in and have it done?

Thanks Glider. I have it broken down to the stator and the seal I am concerned about is the silver one that goes around the shaft right in front of the stator. Would I have to pull it out by drilling a couple of holes and making a homemade puller or is there an easier way?
