My husband seems to think:unsure his 2006 Heritage Softail clasic already has the pigtail to attach the battery tender to,but can't find it:newsmile07:.(You know men will never ask for directions:bigsmiley10:)Can someone tell ME?( I don't mind asking for help:small3d015:,and I haven't been bood off this sight yet for dumb questions:worthy. (OXYCLEAN) Then I can tell him and we can get his bike on the tender:newsmile106:.( mine is already one one.):thanks:cheers
 
If it isn't obvious to see the end sticking out, remove the seat and look at the battery terminals. You should see a POS and a NEG that go to the plug if it is there.
 
He's just going to have to look at the battery and see if there is a pigtail attached to it along with the main + and - battery leads.
Some dealers put them on all the bikes they sell and some do not.
If he thinks it is on there, it should be out in a location where it is easily seen and accessable.

Once he finds out he doesn't have the pigtail tell him to buy the tender that has both ends, one with alligator clips and the other with the bat. terminal eyes and pigtail. It comes in handy to charge the battery of a stubborn car on a cold day:D

You can buy it at the HD dealer or metric dealer. I got mine at CyclePro (a local independent dealer becasue I wanted the "potted one" made for JetSki/Boat use which is slightly more $39 vs $35 so if I drop it , splash water or "leave it outside" and gets rained on...no harm no foul.

It is easy to plug in, the lamp lights yellow if battery is connected right, green when battery is fully charged. Also is easy in install, comes with 2 pigtails: 1) battery terminal eyelets to polarized bullet connector and 2) extra jumper clips to charger bullet connector for off vehicle charging. :)
