This is what I ended up with. Panasonic DMC-FZ8SLumix® 7.2-Megapixel Digital Camera with MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer, High Sensitivity Mode & 12x Optical Zoom, Leica Lens System.


So far I love it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a mid line camera of top quality.

i use the Olympus Stylus 740 7.1 mega pixel 5Xoptical zoom all weather this camera is about 3.75 inches long .75 inches thick with a 2 gig card and it is tough as nails i have dropped :nosadit to many times and it still works great cost around $250-$300 depending were you buy it
