just looking over some old threads,and would like to see if we could get get an answer to the original question here. How difficult would it be to install a simple indicator light to confirm the charge system is operating? I don't type well enough to add any coloured
words, so we won't have the issue that came up earlier.

My '86 FXRS had a red idiot light and it was alternator, just like the new ones. Came on when the key was turned, and went out after the bike started.
